Over 100 people attended Art Connection Studio’s exhibition opening, Glisten, on December 15. Among the guests was longstanding supporter First Lady of Connecticut and CEO of the Greater Hartford Arts Council Cathy Malloy. The opening showcased works of art, holiday cards, and seasonal gifts such as embroidered pillows, bangles, jewelry trays, and paintings with a winter color palette of gray, blue, and silver. Guests could even enter an auction to win the original pieces featured on the holiday cards.
Artists and guests alike enjoyed the event. “I loved it!” exclaimed Artist Coretta Casey. “I love showing my work and selling what I made.”
“We had another successful exhibition,” said Art Connection Studio Program Specialist Michael Galaburri. “Many artists, families, staff, and friends came out in the cold to attend our winter holiday-themed show. This was our 19th exhibition since our opening in 2011, and we are planning another this April.”
