The team was made up of Vinfen administrative and Brighton Day Habilitation (BDH) program staff, including BDH Program Director Doreen Hiltz. After a send-off by the Dirty Water Crew of the American Legion Riders and rendition of the National Anthem, the runners had an incredible time taking in the local sites while racing their way through the streets of East Cambridge alongside friends and coworkers. While some were thrilled to run their fastest 5k to date, others had a great time greeting spectators and cheering on the many children and K9 friends participating in the community event.
“As members of the East Cambridge Business Association ourselves, Vinfen tries to take whatever opportunities we can to support the ECBA and its members,” said Vinfen Director of Communications and Development Erin Tighe.
The 5K route began and culminated at CambridgeSide and passed directly by Vinfen’s headquarters and administrative office building. Following the race, the Vinfen Team joined hundreds of fellow runners for a roof deck party sponsored by CambridgeSide. The group snacked on hot dogs and falafel while dancing to music and enjoying beverages by Notch Brewing, Somerville Brewing Company, and Bantam Cider.
