Vinfen was proud to host Massachusetts State Senator Sal DiDomenico on June 12 for a Constituent Meet & Greet held at Vinfen’s headquarters in Cambridge, MA. The event brought together dozens of Vinfen staff from several programs based in Cambridge and Somerville.
The group enjoyed light refreshments while taking the opportunity to ask the Senator questions about the upcoming changes to MassHealth, local infrastructure, and improving traffic conditions.
After thanking all those in attendance for coming out to speak with him, the Senator touched upon the importance of advocating for the causes one cares about directly. He advised attendees to not only ask their legislators to support certain pieces of legislation, but also ask what they plan to do to act on the issue. Asking your legislator for their position and action plan on an issue, Senator DiDomenico said, is more effective than simply asking them to say they’ll support the causes that matter to you.
Senator Sal DiDomenico serves as State Senator for the Middlesex and Suffolk District of Massachusetts. He represents the communities of Everett, Chelsea, Charlestown, as well as parts of Allston-Brighton, Cambridge, and the West End of Boston. Vinfen recognized Senator DiDomenico at the 10th Annual Celebration of Family Partnerships this past year.
