VP and General Counsel Lurleen Gannon Receives Award

Lurleen Gannon wins awardVinfen Vice President and General Counsel Lurleen Gannon was honored as one of the 2018 Top Women of Law at an event hosted by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly on October 18. The annual event celebrates the wonderful achievements made by exceptional women lawyers. Each year, a panel comprised by members of the legal community and representatives of Lawyers Weekly select and recognize lawyers who make significant contributions to the legal profession, as well as serve as role models for young women entering law. Awardees are recognized for being pioneers, educators, and trailblazers in their profession.

“I am honored to receive Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Top Women of Law award this year and humbled by the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received from my Vinfen colleagues,” said Lurleen. “Since joining Vinfen last year, I have come to realize what a special organization this is. I am constantly amazed by the kindness, compassion, and dedication of the staff who work here. I feel truly honored to be a part of this team.”

Lurleen is an experienced legal advisor with a wide range of skills and legal expertise. In her role, she advises on and oversees all of Vinfen’s legal matters. Before working at Vinfen, she served as First Deputy General Counsel for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and was a commercial litigator at Conn Kavanaugh in Boston, MA. Lurleen serves on the Board of the Boston College Law School Alumni Association and the steering committee for the Boston Bar Association’s In-House Counsel Committee. She also is a past Board Member and President of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. Lurleen received a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1999 and a Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School in Newton, MA in 2002.
