Vinfen is so thankful to everyone who supported our Holiday Giving Fund this year. Once again, we exceeded our goals, raising over $23,000 this holiday season!
Vinfen started our Holiday Giving Fund over 25 years ago. Our goal was to ensure the people we serve had a gift to open and enjoy during the holidays. For those who lack the family or personal means to make the holidays bright, the season can be both stressful and sad. Through our Holiday Giving Fund we can make the holidays more memorable.
Each year we have the chance to share stories of people who are working hard to live happy, healthy, and meaningful lives with support from Vinfen.
This year we introduced you to Antoinette whose housemates and staff have become like family, supporting her as she learns to be more independent. If you haven’t yet read her story, click here: Brighten the Holidays for Antoinette.
You also met Daniel who is following his dream of becoming a baker with encouragement and support from staff at Vinfen’s Employment Training Center. You can read his story here: Bring Daniel Comfort and Joy.
We also got to share our time with Evelyn whose face lights up when she describes cooking meals and spending cozy weekends watching holiday movies with her housemates. Celebrate the Season with Evelyn, here.
Thanks to the enormous generosity of family members, friends, staff and area businesses, we are able to make the holidays bright for so many. Your support helped Vinfen purchase over 1,800 gifts for the people we serve. Our generous sponsors include W.B. Mason; Denterlein; G. Greene Construction; Suburban Pharmacy; Wegmans Food Markets; Casner & Edwards, LLP; Wilson, Marino & Bonnevie; P.C., Interior Resources; Brushworks Painting; Devaney Energy, and DeMoulas/Marketbasket which kindly donated a number of gift cards. Vinfen staff also contributed to the fundraising efforts, and raising over $3,000.
