A Heartfelt Celebration at Haverhill Clubhouse

Haverhill Clubhouse recently hosted an Open House to showcase all the exciting renovations they have been working on for the past year. This was a delightful opportunity to invite the community to meet members, learn more about the Clubhouse, and to network and celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month together.

Snacks including cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit were provided, as guests were welcomed with open arms. Attendees were also treated to a delicious lunch that consisted of sandwiches, chips, iced tea, lemonade, coffee, and a celebratory cake.

Over the past 9 months, Haverhill Clubhouse along with businesses from the community, have been working hard on both the interior and exterior of the Club. These changes included a new kitchen, a cafe, a welcoming outside deck, new fencing, and vibrant landscaping. “The results are truly magnificent,” shared Haverhill Clubhouse Counselor Christian Way. Each attendee of the Open House was treated to a personal tour of the Clubhouse and had the chance to meet Haverhill Clubhouse Program Director Kerry Caraccio as well as all the dedicated staff and members. “Our team felt an Open House would be a great opportunity not only to showcase the renovations, but to also market our program to key people in the community. We took this opportunity to network with colleagues, local community dignitaries, members of our Board of Directors, and neighbors,” explained Kerry.

Guests really enjoyed getting to know one another and celebrating such an incredibly inviting space that many people call home. “I really liked the Open House and it was nice to meet other people, organizations, other Clubhouses, and to be able to put a face with a name for people we heard about. I do well with crowds. I know that it is not the same for other people, but I personally felt at home,” voiced Clubhouse member Jared. Another member Saroun shared, “The Clubhouse looks like happiness, enjoy, and everyone came together as a family! Clubhouse is meant to be built for those who need family and love!”

During the event, a special PowerPoint presentation was created and ran continuously, highlighting the renovations with before and after pictures. Another PowerPoint also displayed information on the various units within Haverhill Clubhouse as well as different invigorating activities the members have participated in. Two Clubhouse members happily provided musical entertainment by performing soft rock melodies during the event. “Open House was a busy day with lots of friends and dignitaries in attendance. It wouldn’t have been so special without all the help from Club members. It made me feel proud to be a Clubhouse member and to be able to show off all of the improvements we made,” expressed Clubhouse member David.

Haverhill Clubhouse could not have completed the renovations without the support of business in the community. A special thanks to Mass Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Dependable Fence, Imagination Furnishings, and Frye’s Landscaping Service, Inc. “Additionally, the Clubhouse is indebted to Vinfen Corporation, staff, and members, and many friends and members of the Clubhouse,” concluded Christian.
