Jean Yang Named One of Boston’s Top Influential Asian American Pacific Islanders
We are thrilled to announce that President and CEO Jean Yang has made Boston’s Most Influential Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) list for 2023! The list is put out by Get Konnected!, a hub for cross-cultural business connections in Boston and beyond. Ms. Yang was recognized as an influencer in the “Healthcare and Life Sciences” category.
Ms. Yang has twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry spanning across payer, provider, and government entities. Prior to Vinfen, she was the President of Public Plans at Point32Health, a leading health insurance company based in Massachusetts, where she led the company’s business segment that served Medicaid and other low-income populations. Ms. Yang’s experience also includes serving as the Executive Director of the Boston Children’s Hospital Integrated Care Organization (CHICO), where she led the development of the hospital’s inaugural Medicaid Accountable Care Organization. As a former public servant for the Commonwealth, Ms. Yang led the complex effort to implement the Affordable Care Act in Massachusetts and was a policy influencer through her service on the Health Policy Commission and Group Insurance Commission. Ms. Yang also serves as a board member for Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. (QARI), a social services organization dedicated to improving social, cultural, economic, and civic lives of immigrants and their families.
A native of China, Ms. Yang is a graduate of Peking University in Beijing and Harvard Business School. She is a 2017 awardee of the Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Pinnacle Award.
