EVENTS AT VINFEN CT
Events at Vinfen CT embody our values and mission of transforming lives together. Each event has a unique purpose or initiative where our staff, the people we serve and their families, community partners, and supporters are celebrated, and platforms are established to increase awareness and resources to better serve our community.
Vinfen CT hosts a suite of events on an annual basis. This includes the Annual Celebration of Families, Fun Fest, and Winter Wonderland. Learn more about each unique event below.
ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF FAMILIES
Each year, Vinfen CT honors the families, advocates, self-advocates, and staff who have made a difference in the lives of the people served throughout Connecticut at the Annual Celebration of Families. Awards are given out including the Family Partnership Award and Employee Award along with a catered dinner and special prize drawings. This evening, which is hosted by the Vinfen CT Family Advisory Council, represents a time to gather and honor those who embody Vinfen’s mission of transforming lives together.
During the summer, the Vinfen CT community including people receiving services, family members, and staff come together to experience an enjoyable day of fun, food, and community-building activities. Fun activities include a drum circle, a DJ and dancing, games, yoga, and arts and crafts. This gathering provides the Vinfen CT community an opportunity to network and share experiences all while having a great time outdoors.
Each winter, Vinfen CT hosts a Winter Wonderland semi-formal celebration for persons served, their families and friends, and community supporters. This evening celebration includes dancing, photo booth fun, and dinner is provided. Attendees are encouraged to break out their dancing shoes and dance the night away.
