PARTNERING FOR SUCCESS
Vinfen currently partners with the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, Springfield College and Regis College to provide staff discounted tuition and grant opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate programs. These schools provide many options for human service employees such as degrees in Social Work, Counseling, ABA, Business and Public Health. These programs are designed for the working professional and provide flexibility including online and hybrid models. The Regis College benefit also extends to employees’ immediate families. Certain programs at Springfield College and UMass Lowell also award credits from previous training and work/life experience.
CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM
Vinfen financially supports direct care staff to receive their Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA). CNAs provide a wide range of basic care to individuals who are unable to manage their needs alone, and it is an opportunity to explore any interest in a nursing degree. This program is open to any residential or day program direct care employee who has worked at Vinfen for 30 or more hours a week for at least six months. Vinfen will provide up to $1,700 for the program paid directly to the school so participants don’t need to worry about the cost of the program. Employees who complete the program then work internally with a recruiter to find a CNA position that works for them.
At Vinfen, there are many opportunities for professional development. Individuals from all walks of life, educational backgrounds, and prior careers can find opportunities at Vinfen; it is part of our mission to foster the personal and professional development of our staff and create an environment where employees can succeed. We offer staff the chance to acquire knowledge and skills to become experts in their roles and to advance their careers. Through a combination of job coaching by supervisors, strong policies and procedures, and regular team meetings, every day at Vinfen is an opportunity to learn and grow. We offer structured education and training as well, with nearly 100 courses each month provided to new and existing Vinfen employees both virtually and at our new state-of-the-art training facility.
All of our courses are based on current research, developed by leaders in the field, and reflect the mission of Vinfen. At Vinfen, we understand that our courses need to be the best they can be, so that our services can be the best they can be. Our trainings give people the skills that they need, to do the work that they are passionate about.
