Direct Care
The direct care team ensures a safe, structured, recovery-focused environment for adults experiencing behavioral health symptoms, mental health challenges, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. Working within our 24-hour respite program—an unlocked, community-based, voluntary alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization—direct care staff help individuals stabilize and begin their recovery journey in a supportive setting.
Kliniker
Clinicians support individuals in the respite program, providing intake evaluations, functional and clinical assessments, and developing individualized community support and crisis plans. They offer clinical oversight to respite staff, lead therapeutic groups, and implement tailored interventions. Collaborating closely with community health workers, peer specialists, nurses, and mental health counselors under the program director, clinicians ensure integrated, high-quality care that fosters stability and recovery.
Peer Specialist/Recovery Coach
At the Restoration Center, certified peer specialists and recovery coaches use their lived experience to provide hope, guidance, and practical support. Peer specialists help individuals build confidence, skills, and resources to reach their goals, while recovery coaches offer intensive one-on-one support for people with substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges, assisting with restoration support plans and long-term stability. Both roles emphasize compassion, collaboration, and the belief that recovery is achievable.
Nursing
Our nursing team delivers integrated, compassionate care for individuals with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. RNs assess health needs, coordinate medical and behavioral care, monitor conditions, and manage medications while promoting wellness. Nurse managers supervise teams, oversee care coordination, and support access to outpatient, urgent, and crisis services, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). LPNs provide direct care and crisis stabilization, and CNAs offer hands-on support in the Sober Support Unit through skills training and health monitoring. Together, they create a safe, recovery-centered environment that supports healthier lives.
Administrative
Our administrative team leads the strategy and operations of Vinfen’s Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder treatment program, which diverts individuals from lock-up facilities and emergency rooms to community-based care. The team oversees program design and implementation across triage and medical clearance, the peer-run Living Room, the Substance Use Disorder Support Unit, and a 10-bed respite unit. They ensure quality, compliance, outcomes, staffing, safety, and financial stewardship while maintaining strong partnerships with law enforcement, EMS, corrections, and referral sources. The team also manages integration with other Vinfen services and maintains accountability to EOHHS and the Restoration Center Commission.
