Music and Mission Take Center Stage at Jordan Hall

Music, community, and mission came together on Friday, May 8, as more than 120 members of the Vinfen community gathered at Boston’s Jordan Hall for a special performance by the Longwood Symphony Orchestra (LSO). 

Composed largely of healthcare professionals, the Longwood Symphony Orchestra uses the power of music to support nonprofit organizations serving medically underserved communities through its Healing Art of Music concert series. At this special performance, the LSO was joined by Cambridge Common Voices, a Cambridge-based choir that brings together individuals of all musical backgrounds and abilities through community singing. 

The inspiring evening raised $17,000 for Vinfen’s Health & Wellness Initiative, which supports programs that enhance the physical and mental well-being of the individuals we serve. And the concert itself was an inclusive event, featuring a sensory-friendly space that helped ensure the concert was welcoming and accessible for all members of our community.
