The 17th Annual Vinfen Film Festival took place on Saturday, March 23rd, and was a tremendous success! More than 300 guests joined us at GBH Studios in Boston for an afternoon of inspiring, thought-provoking feature-length and short films, and panel discussions with filmmakers, human services professionals, and individuals with lived experience.

Audiences were moved by the powerful stories of recovery, relapse, and redemption in Beyond the Wall; delighted and inspired by Justin Canha’s quest for personal independence and success as an artist in Don’t Foil My Plans; and educated and entertained in equal measure by our diverse collection of short films: The Beautiful Colors of Jeremy Sicile-Kira; Wheelchair Diaries: One Step Up; Single; My Disability Roadmap; and Planes, Trains, and Canes.

All of us at Vinfen were thrilled to have the Film Festival back as a live, in-person event, which we were able to share with so many members of the extended Vinfen community. We are profoundly grateful to all the talented filmmakers, moderators, and panelists who joined us to discuss our selected films; our wonderful hosts at GBH; our fantastic sponsors, whose generosity helped make the Film Festival possible; all the dedicated Vinfen staff and volunteers who worked so hard to make the event a success; and, finally, all those who attended for being such an extraordinary and engaged audience!
