Vinfen’s Board of Directors is delighted to announce the selection of Jean Yang, MBA, as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.  

Ms. Yang brings twenty years of healthcare experience spanning across payer, provider, and government entities. She is currently a health insurance executive at Point32Health, the entity formed by the merger of Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan in 2021. Since 2018, she has been the President of the Public Plans segment in that organization, serving Medicaid and other low-income populations. Ms. Yang is responsible for over 500,000 insureds with $2.5B in operating revenue. Because Medicaid is the core business of Public Plans, Ms. Yang’s work, directly and through her team, is heavily focused on policy advocacy, community outreach, and care model design and innovation centered around vulnerable populations.  

As a public servant from 2010 to 2014, Ms. Yang led the complex effort to implement the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) in Massachusetts, including the agency’s successful turnaround from an initially failed IT launch. In 2015, she became the Executive Director of Boston Children’s Hospital Integrated Care Organization (CHICO) and led the development of the hospital’s inaugural Medicaid Accountable Care Organization program.

Ms. Yang brings a deep, personal commitment to underserved populations and the work Vinfen does to improve the lives of people with disabilities and life challenges. She has outstanding, proven management skills, and Vinfen and the people we serve will benefit from her strong relationships in the broader healthcare community. Ms. Yang shared, “Vinfen is at the forefront of tackling some of the most critical challenges faced by our society today. It is an honor for me to join this amazing team in this mission.”
